Feather, S. Fork

The South Feather watershed was severely impacted by the North Complex Fires in August 2020. Standing dead trees have continued to accumulate in the reach since that fire. One fatality occurred during the drawdown release of 2024. Approach this run and its committed gorges with caution.

American Whitewater has just learned of an opportunistic boating opportunity on the South Feather. The South Feather should run around 450cfs Saturday through Tuesday. This is not a part of the upcoming late September drawdown but will afford a few days of boating opportunity!
