Mineral Springs Creek

A project to reduce erosion of the stream banks and improve fish habitat is now complete, and the debris barrier (immediately downstream of W.Oakland Ave., near the intersection with S.Division St.) has been removed.

While the project removed many obstructions, it also secured logs to the riverbed in a few locations (to create habitat and armor the riverbed). Additionally, there is deadfall in the creek both within the project area (a huge fallen willow branch), and just upstream of the bridge on S.Division Street (two willows laying fully across the creek). This wood will likely preclude safe passage at nearly any boatable flow.
