Pithole Creek

Just ran pithole today...awesome little creek but beware of the strainers!! there are several you can sneak but there are 3 new ones you need to portage!! we ran it today at 5.97 and it was the best we ever ran it. great time!! just be watching for those creek wide strainers!!!!

11/29/11 just below the Eagle Rock Rd stone bridge there are at least 4 trees down across the creek. The first we skirted via a beaver dam and the rest we were able to sneak around carefully on one side. This probably wouldn't be possible at higher levels and would require getting out to portage. Level was 4.85 on the Oil Creek gauge. I would guess that all 4 were within 1 mile of the bridge. Keep alert for wood on this creek!
