River Description
Brandon Cain says:
'If you run this scout Flower mill and Valley Ave. Bridge. I put in at Bullseye Bridge and take out below Stevie Wonder.'
Ryan Gerry:
Fun after work/school run with some decent play at some levels. I almost always run from Flower Mill to Shopping Cart unless I'm with a very inexperienced boater.
River Features
Put In
Flour Mill
The most technical rapid on the Kenduskeag, Flour Mill begins shortly before the I-95 Bridge. The typical route is to start river left and work your way to the far right before the two 3ft (or higher/lower based on level) drops. Mandatory portage during the Kenduskeag Stream canoe race.
I-95 Wave
A small wave below the I-95 bridge.
Valley Avenue Drop
Typical line is to start river right and work left down the center tongue. Difficulty varies greatly depending on level. Mandatory portage during Kenduskeag Stream Canoe race.
Shopping Cart
A fun drop to practice your paddling moves on.

Trip Reports
Log in to add a reportFlour mill is actually easier at high water because most of the rocks are covered. Pretty straight shot down river right.
Harder than it looks
A Gage for the kenduskeag can be found here:

I'd say it can be run from about 5.0 and up, 7.0 to 9ish being best.
Shopping cart at low water during the 2010 Kenduskeag Race.
Flour Mill on the kenduskeag at med/low water from the Overlook. Between Runnable Low and Perfect. This drop becomes even better at higher water.
