American Whitewater and Clif Bar are pleased to announce the 7th annual Clif Bar Flowing Rivers Campaign, pledging $2,500 to American Whitewater Affiliate Clubs for river stewardship work. Funding for this very effective program is provided by Clif Bar.
American Whitewater Affiliate Clubs have the opportunity to apply for one of two $1,250 grants. Grants will be distributed to clubs for projects that promote river stewardship, conservation, access, and/or safety education on our nation’s rivers. This program provides our Affiliate Clubs with the seed money necessary to implement programs in their backyards.
Current American Whitewater Affiliate Clubs will receive a Flowing Rivers Campaign grant application packet by mail. Affiliate Clubs of American Whitewater can also choose to download the Flowing Rivers Campaign Grant Application. If your Affiliate Club membership has lapsed, you need to renew your Club’s membership prior to submitting your grant application.
Affiliate Clubs are encouraged to browse through American Whitewater’s online Stewardship Toolkit for a variety of project ideas and suggestions.
Applications must be received by mail or email, at American Whitewater no later than July 1, 2009 at 5:00 pm. Awards will be announced in August 2009.
