UPDATE: Victims identified after tubing accident on the Turkey River

UPDATE: The Fayette County Sheriff's Office has identified the two victims as Sharon Kahn, 64 and Vicki K. Hodge, 44, both of West Union. The sheriff's office says the two women went over the dam near Clermont on the Turkey River. Despite lifesaving efforts, both women were taken to Palmer Hospital in West Union and were pronounced dead.
Deputies were assisted by Clermont Fire and E.M.S., Elgin Fire and E.M.S., Tristate Ambulance, Gundersen Air Ambulance, The Iowa Department of Natural Resources, and The Iowa State Patrol.
