Accident Description

Here are some facts about the incident on the Chattooga.  A 17 yr old female rafting guest fell out in Jawbone, went into Hydro electric rock.  Water level was around 1.4 feet. Safety was right there, but could not pull her out upstream, so the guide pushed her under the rock.  She was recovered above Sock ‘‘em Dog.  Was unconscious; CPR performed successfully.  She was evacuated to lake landing where ambulance was waiting and she was transported to hospital via helicopter.  Released to family the next day.
