Accident Description

When approaching the chute rapid I entered a bit too far right. When I hit the rock on the far right my kayak flipped over. Immediately my face made contact with a rock and loosing ability to think critiacally or clearly I pulled tab. Immediately surfacing my face was covered in blood and I was pulled into the eddy on the right. My nose had an open fracture. I had to hike out and receive four stitches as well as recovered from a broken nose. This incident was not caused by lack of experience or unprepardness, there just happened to be a rock in the right place at the right time to run my face into. So be aware of flipping in the chute, there was not enough time to even start to tuck when my face made contact with the just below surface rock.
