HARRISBURG, Pa. — UPDATE: The body of a missing boater has been found in the Susquehanna River, according to Harrisburg's director of communications. Harrisburg firefighters said the men fell off a boat and into the water near the Dock Street Dam around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. The surviving man was pulled out by nearby boaters. His current condition is unknown, but he was able to walk to an ambulance by himself. Harrisburg police and firefighters and Pennsylvania State Police were involved in the search for the missing man. State police used a helicopter and drone to look for him. His body was found near the Steelton boat launch.

Franklin County man identified after Dock Street Dam accident in Harrisburg

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The man killed after falling into the water near Harrisburg’s Dock Street Dam was identified by a Dauphin County official as Michael Brook of Waynesboro.
According to City of Harrisburg Director of Communications Matt Maisel, Brook’s body was located Thursday near Harrisburg International Airport after he and another man fell into the water around 7:30 a.m.
Officials say one man was rescued by another boat out fishing. Officials at the scene say the man was able to walk to the ambulance on his own. Maisel confirmed later the man was able to communicate with investigators.
