CONCRETE, WA. (KGMI.com) – A search is ongoing after a kayaker went missing on the Skagit River on Wednesday afternoon, October 11th. GoSkagit reports the 29-year-old went missing after falling out of a kayak near Cape Horn Community Park west of Concrete around 2:45 p.m. A Skagit County Sheriff’s Office boat and drone, along with two Search and Rescue boats were deployed to search the river, where only the kayak and paddle were found. Anyone with information helpful to the search is asked to call the Skagit County Sheriff’s Office.
The body of a 29-year-old man who fell out of a kayak and into the Skagit River on Oct. 11 near Cape Horn Community Park west of Concrete was found Wednesday. According to Skagit County Undersheriff Chad Clark, the body has been identified by the Skagit County Coroner’s Office as Jebadieh E. Voyce. Clark said in an email that Voyce’s body was found near Hamilton near the bank of the river by a person working in the area. He said the cause and manner of death are under investigation.
