WENATCHEE -- A 49-year-old man was killed Saturday when his canoe capsized on the Wenatchee River. David Christoferson of the Marysville area was canoeing with his son near Dryden when the boat capsized on rocks around 10:30 a.m., the Chelan County Sheriff's Office said. Jacob Cchristopherson, 21, told deputies his father's leg got caught in the canoe. They managed to free his leg, but he injured his arm in the process. Both were swept down the river. Jacob was wearing a life jacket and made it to shore, but his father was not.
