WENATCHEE, Wash. (AP) - A woman who was inner-tubing in the Wenatchee River was killed when she floated into log jam.
Chelan Sheriff Mike Harum says a group of 5 women in their mid-20s were floating down the river yesterday when they hit the log jam at the Sleepy Hollow Bridge. The victim was under the water three hours before her body floated downriver.
She has been identified as Jillian Ward of Selah.
None of the women were wearing life vests.
