Accident Description

On April 23, 1998 a K-2 flipped soon after launching on the Chattahoochie River near Atlanta. One man made it to shore, but the other, Charles Huggins, disappeared. Local kayak racers joined dive team members in searching the area but found nothing. A construction worker at a bridge project found Huggins’ body on May 6. Neither man was wearing a PFD.
