Colorado Gives Day Happening Now!

Colorado Gives Day is happening now through December 9! Donate today to have your dollars go even further in supporting American Whitewater’s river access work in Colorado. We need your support more than ever this year as we are tirelessly working to secure legal public access to Colorado’s rivers in the 2026 state legislature. Donations made through Colorado Gives this year will go directly to our Colorado Access Program and will ensure that your dollars are matched from the $1 million incentive fund. 

What is Colorado Gives Day? 

Community First Foundation and FirstBank partnered to make this time every year more rewarding for givers, nonprofits and communities across Colorado. Colorado Gives Day is the state's largest online giving event, raising more than half a billion for Colorado non-profits since 2010. This year, Colorado Gives Day is December 9 and you can give anytime before then to have your donation qualify for the match funds. 

Community First Foundation and FirstBank created a $1 Million Incentive Fund to proportionally increase the value of every donation made to nonprofits through the Colorado Gives Day program. For example, if American Whitewater receives 10% of the total amount donated on CO Gives Day (from folks like you) then we will receive an additional 10% of the $1 Million Incentive Fund ($100,000). There could not be a better time to support American Whitewater’s work! 

Why donate to American Whitewater on Colorado Gives Day?

All donations made to American Whitewater between now and December 9 will be put towards our Colorado Access Program. Funding for this program will go directly towards the legal, policy, and outreach work necessary to secure legal public access to Colorado’s rivers in state law for the benefit of all Coloradans and our visitors.
