Volunteer of the Month - Presented by Kokatat

American Whitewater is proud to announce our June 2013 Volunteers of the Month: Chris Donochod, Justyn Thompson, Mark Mickey, Matt Kern, and Sid Border!

These five fine folks are the team behind French Broad River Fest a music event that celebrates the French Broad River each year in Western North Carolina. More than just an awesome weekend of music, the event has a myriad of outdoor activities like a raft race, mountain biking, a kids parade and much more. Last, and certainly not least, the event raises and average of $5,000 for American Whitewater and other local NC non-profits each year!

The amount of work that goes into an event of this scope is no small task. AW really appreciates that hard work of this team putting FBRF on and helping us save rivers by donating a portion of the proceeds each year. Thanks team!

In recognition of all the hard work putting on French Broad River Fest and raising funds for American Whitewater, the whole crew will be receiving a custom Kokatat WoolCore shirt! Thanks guys!
