I have not paddled this yet but get to see it every week. On this AW site, I think it should say old 209, not old 20. I never saw old 20. To get to it from NYC, you can take 87 N to exit 16, 17 west to exit114. make a left off exit which will bring you to 209, make a right, east. After a couple of miles, about 9 miles, old 209 will be on your left, make a left on old 209 then very shortly (less than a half mile I think) make a left on county rd 55 not to be confused with state highway 55 that crosses 209 further east by the Rondout. Beware, there's a lot of strainers as of 6/26/06. More to come when I can get someone to paddle it. If the Sandburgh just got scratchy, the W. beer kill and beerkill might/should have still be up, with more water. They are further east, about 4 or 5 miles on 209, then make a left on 52 (west) then a left on Greenfield for W/Beerkill for Beerkill take the same 52 but make right onto 53 then a right on Marcus. Also further up 209 youcan get to the Mombaccus and even further up 209 you can get to Rochester Creek. You can also get to the East and West neversink as well as the Neversink Gorge which are not too far from the Sandburgh. So, from NYC I wouldn't drive about 100 miles just to do the Sandburgh but with so many good runs nearby it would be well worth the drive and really worth leaving real early in the mourning and paddle untill dusk if there's enough water. ,
