These rapids are marked on maps and listed among rapids and falls of the Upper Peninsula. Reportedly both shores are privately owned.We have no more info about these rapids, so we could use your input here. Anyone out there ever run this stretch of river? Worthwhile? Not so much? Report!
There is really only a rather short pond/pool between the upper and lower rapids, making for very nearly a mile of fine nearly continuous rapids.
USGS lists a site with drainge area at this point as 194 square miles.
The take-out is at a Republic Township campground at the mouth of the Spruce River, rules for which are posted at: Republic Michigan.com.

To get to the takeout:
Heading North on M-95, turn left just before you cross over the Michigamme River for the second time.
After about 5 miles, you will see Moose River Campground on your right. This campground is free of charge and serves as the takeout.
To get to the putin:
Continue North on M-95 to US-41. Turn left onto US-41.
In Champion, MI turn off of US-41 and follow a road to Beacon, MI. Refer to the map for more details.
