At some flows, this is an interesting challenge to surf. The flow from above (through the 'chicane') channels toward the right wall (left in the photo) and pops up a bit of a 'rooster tail' wave. An eddy forms to the left downstream, as the current grinds along the right wall of the cement ditch.
