Greetings,

Hi Folks, I'm a Ranger at

Kanaskat-Palmer State Park. I have a

safety concern to voice. This last

weekend we had some nice weather

and the first release of water from the

dam in a long time. I enjoy rafting and I

know how excited people are to get

into the Green River. However, there

has been a huge problem with

speeding through both

Kanaskat-Palmer and Flaming Geyser

Parks. I personally saw a couple dozen

kayaker's doing 30-40 in the 15 MPH

zone last Saturday alone. I don't know if

they were all members, but I did see

some decals. We are very concerned

with the safety of both visitors and

employees, so maybe people can

watch their speed a little better.

Otherwise some traffic infractions may

be written, and nobody really wants

that. Thanks for listening.
