Pit 5: Pit 5 Dam to Pit 5 Powerhouse(Pit 5 Run)

In the first rapid below Big Bend, known as Bad Alder, there is a large Alder spanning the channel (just a case of a rapid living up to its name). The tree is virtually impossible to avoid and it would be very easy to get swept into it during release flows. The good news is that there is a side channel to the right of the main channel that looks like it will be runable at release flows. This channel should be pretty easy to scout from the parking area.
