Salmon, North Fork

There are numerous strainers in the river left side channel of the NF Salmon River just upstream of the Red Bank Campground. DO NOT ENTER THIS SIDE CHANNEL! Keep to the regular route in the main channel that flows past Red Bank Campground and do not go left into the smaller side channel at the very top of the large bar/island. The best whitewater and most obvious route is the main channel.
