Previously, I had reports that in the stretch of this river immediately downstream of the main falls, there was a whole mess of wood which precluded safe passage. More recently (August/September, 2018), reports are that there is NOT presently a problem downstream of the falls.

This same report confirms that wood continues to be a problem on the flatwater/swiftwater access paddle leading to the falls (as mentioned in the main description above).

The stretch of river downstream of the falls is fast and narrow, between steep banks of rock, meaning nearly no eddies and nearly no good place to exit the river. As a result, extreme caution must be taken, because if/when any wood might lodge in that stretch, it would be extremely difficult to avoid, and would make the run effectively unboatable.
