There was a paddle with a red handle sticking out between the two middle rocks at the entrance to Todd's Slot.

Todd's Slot is mile 4, not mile 2. Please update in river description. Watch out for a river-wide strainer just above The Slot.

On 5/30/17 there is a river-wide strainer--a fallen large evergreen--blocking the river at the tenth drop after the takeout for the canyon section. It was easy to portage in kayaks but would be really difficult to get a raft around it due to density of vegetation on the banks. Maybe it's just a coincidence that it's shutting out rafts just above the section where no trespassing signs are posted everywhere and a few scowling fishermen are hanging out on their private property.
