New rockfall/class IV rapidAli White

There is a new rockfall just below campsite 10/Goose Creek that creates a class 4 rapid, just as the river bends right (37.33809, -112.95566).

Wanted to report a new rock slide/Class 4-5 rapid on the narrows. It’s about 100-200 yards upstream of Big Springs. The best place to get out and scout/portage is where a ponderosa pine has fallen into the river near campsite 12. At 450 cfs we could squeeze just under the tree on far river left. Get out here as soon as possible and scout/portage. If you don’t get out and scout near the tree you will end up running a Class 5 blind. It really sneaks up on you. It’s the most difficult rapid on the narrows right now. Most more difficult then all the other rapids. The rock slide is on river right. It appears to be new from last winter 2018/2019. – Mark Hodges

There's a log that spans most of the river located near the confluence of Kolob Creek and the River. It's less than 1/2 mile downstream of the Deep Creek confluence. It's difficult to see because it's at the bottom of a wave train. Keep an eye out for it when you pass Deep Creek. Judging from other beta on the run, the logs been there for a while.
