The first major rapid in the New Boston section has a river wide log, just under the surface at 5ft. By the time you see it, you're going to hit it. Scout! We portaged. 40 feet after the 3rd rapid there a log just under the surface from river right through center, at 5ft it was passable on the far left. The rapid after the covered bridge has a tree from river right through the center. Boof the ledge hole on the far left or portage. There's wood everywhere, be alert! I just listed the worst spots.

7-26-09 Ran at 4.37. A few new strainers on the run about a 1/4 of the way down. can avoid without portage. one tree is under the water a couple inches and didn't notice till It was to late and ran over it by popping my bow up. keep you eye peeled
