American Whitewater worked with Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E) and the Ecological Resource Committee for the Mokelumne River Hydropower Project to confirm recreational releases for 2022. The 2022 water year type for the Mokelumne River is DRY which is determined by the predicted unimpaired inflow to Pardee Reservoir and Spring forecasting information provided by PG&E and the California Department of Water Resources snowpack forecast. In a Dry water year, recreational releases are 700 cfs for the Devil’s Nose, Tiger Creek and Electra reaches.

Following are the dates and times for the 2022 recreational releases on the Mokelumne River:

Devil’s Nose – April 9 & 10, 10 am-2 pm

Tiger Creek – April 9 & 10; May 28 & 30; June 3, 5, 10 & 12, 10 am-2 pm

Electra – May 28 & 30; June 5 & 12, 10 am–4 pm

Enjoy!
