The Washington Kayak Club is the largest paddling organization in the Pacific Northwest, with over 1200 members paddling rivers, lakes, oceans, sloughs, fiords and any other body of water that can be navigated by a paddle craft. From September to May, the Club hosts a monthly meeting at the Seattle REI store for the general membership and guests. Each meeting hosts a different well-known speaker; paddlers, authors and naturalists share adventures or travel stories.

In addition to the pursuit of sport, the Club is active in conservation, safety and access issues. Classes are offered over a wide range of skills, from basic river or ocean paddling to more advanced topics like playboating or eskimo rolling.

If you're paddling in the Seattle area, the WKC is an excellent way to get connected.
