Gauley River - Summersville ,WV
Add to Personal EventsGauley Season is a series of seven weekends in September and October when the draw down of Summersville Reservoir occurs. On the first four weekends the releases occur Friday through Monday before tapering off to Friday through Sunday and then just Saturday and Sunday for the last releases. The standard release flow is 2800 cfs although this is sometimes adjusted when significant flow is coming in from the Meadow River.
